Ingo is looking for his ball in the park and finds an unusual egg instead. He takes it home and soon a strange animal hatches: a little dragon. Ingo is thrilled and names him Drago, his parents and sister are also enthusiastic at first. But Drago grows quickly and causes more and more problems. He eats huge amounts, trashes the flat, bothers the neighbours and scares people in the park. The parents try to make it clear to Ingo that Drago can no longer live with them: It would be better to put him in a zoo. But Ingo doesn't give up and takes Drago to an allotment garden belonging to the grandfather of friends. To Ingo’s surprise the dragon gets wings and flies away. Ingo is very sad about this farewell and at the same time realises that this is the best thing for everyone.
